The season between us

IMG_4290 (1).jpg

You are in one

and I am in another

Where you tire and roam wearily

I awaken and emerge

You are autumn

I am spring

Allow me to walk with you

Through winter

I’ll show what’s coming

Hand you bits of bloom

In the season between you and me

Frozen earth is a vital barrier

What would summer lust from

Without spring's slow opening in mesmerizing pastel?

In the season between you and me

Desire works patiently on an undeniable green

For now you are lost in the transformation of fall

I see you coming in a prism of gold and rust

Allow me to describe the view

And make poetry.
