Barga
Perched upon a descending plateau of the Appenines and opposite the Alpi Apuane, it is home of the Barga Jazz Festival in August and a haven for painters and musicians. The restaurant scene offers some of the best local fare in the Serchio Valley.
This medieval Tuscan village is a home base for Traveling Native tours. Once in the town, you will find almost everything you need within walking distance.
